Your first step to joining the Mountaineer Nation is applying for admission - and we try to make the process as convenient as possible. Simply choose your student type from the list below or to the left to find information and admission requirements. Once we have received your application and all required documents, your file will be reviewed promptly.

Freshmen
You are a high school senior or have completed a high school diploma or GED and have not enrolled full-time at another college/university.

You are a non-U.S. citizen and will be enrolling with F-1 or J-1 visa status.

You are students who wish to take undergraduate courses at WVU and do not plan to pursue a degree or who wish to fulfill prerequisites for a graduate program. Financial Aid Office
if you have questions about your eligiblity for aid as a non-degree student.
